such a good track.
I love how the title "get him back" has two different meanings, for the first 2 guys one thing - get him back as in get revenge, and then the 3rd is the other meaning - get him back, as in be mine again.

younger Tom Waits def has his place at times. I don’t always like listening to him, But sometimes it’s just the right thing. 😎 Before he went full on Cookie Monster.

This was released today.
Pretty dope.
It’s from 1982, The Living. The Living was an early Seattle punk band featuring Duff McKagan (pre Guns n Roses) and Greg Gilmore (pre Mother Love Bone)
Anyway, the full album is coming out in April, and yah. As I said, it was all recorded in 1982, but just seeing the light of day now. Throwback classic punk sound.
Duff was only 17 years old.
The video features a ton of footage showing old Seattle and live footage and crowd shots.
I think it’s awesome

So this was kinda a trip..... I was going on YouTube again to listen to Amy Winehouse’s poem “You Always Hurt the Ones You Love”. That poem was partial lyrics for a song that never happened, so the best we have is Amy speaking the words on a voice message. Amy Winehouse “You Always Hurt the Ones You Love”
I love that, and love listening to it. And love imagining what it could have been like as a song. It’s old obviously, since Amy has been dead for 10 years, but I first heard it 5 or 6 years ago when the AMY doc came out. blah blah blah. anyway. I wanted to listen to it again last night. So I typed it in on YouTube. and when I type it in the first thing to pop up says “Laura Cole - You Always Hurt the Ones You Love”. I had seen that name before, it’s a gal I’ve been friends with for a few years with on Instagram. She’s Canadian and makes music, I knew that but never took the time to give her a listen. I think I we became friends because she commented on some of my Amy of Fiona posts years ago. So like, I see this track listed and decide to give it a listen. she has a cool voice. it’s not Amy, but it’s cool to hear the words sung since Amy will never get a chance to sing them. I’m sure Amy would have sung them completely different. Also Laura had to make up some of her own lyrics, since Amy never finished. anyway. thats my story. oh and I commented in the track, and turns out this gal used to live just 10min away from me. Small world.
