What's ^that^ about anyway? Did that re-surface because IG tried that shit years ago? Didn't she even delete her account back then?

What's ^that^ about anyway? Did that re-surface because IG tried that shit years ago? Didn't she even delete her account back then? They never tried anything years ago. Itās always been there in the terms and conditions. People need to read that before using the app and if they donāt like what they see there, then done give them permission by not downloading the app. You canāt use the app and post a pic that says Instagram canāt do this or that. Like are you kidding meš¤¦āāļø Try to go to court with that post lol. So no, this is nothing new. She shared and read the same thing 2012 and deleted her account yes. Then years passed and she forgot about that post and saw the same post again and shared it. Hopefully she wonāt delete her account this time. Iām hoping sheās trying to prove people some kind of point about information and fake news but Iām starting to doubt it.

Basically Instagram need you to agree to the terms that they own your photos only so that they can store them on their servers and show them there.
And yes they will make money on your photos and content and they listen and register certain words you say irl. This is the new marketing world. Google does it, Facebook does it Instagram does it. They donāt care about looking into you as an individual, like leak or whatever some nude pics of you if youād be Paris Hilton and have a private account with 0 followers. They use this info to give you relevant content, such as photos, friend suggestions anything and also ads, yes.
This is nothing new in online world or marketing.
We even get friend suggestions based on our location and if weāve crossed paths with people.
Yes we are being watched and we are being followed and we are being manipulated, but we have always been. Itās just a different way to do it now.

Also itās all about consuming. They want us obsessed!
They wonāt leak shit and make us doubt the security of anything.
Thatās the last thing to worry about.

Or let me correct that; they donāt actively ālistenā as in having people sitting there to listen our random convos, but they have computers that register certain keywords that match their database of ad keywords. This is even stated in their terms as something like āby approving blabla you are giving us permission to view access your photo library to upload content and microphone and camera to record content and to improve user experienceā = can be anything, and also here where the ālisteningā thing goes under, mainly to give you relevant ads so you make your purchases, which makes Instagram earn money and also learn more about how to get to your wallet.

Yah itās scary how much data we voluntarily give out. And yes itās all in the small print, but who really pays attention to all that. š¤·š»āāļø Weād all rather just freak out by these trending hoaxes than take 5 minutes and use our brains to figure out the actual truth.... I am always surprised by how many people I see share stuff like this, and people who I think are fairly intelligent usually. š¬š I see people quick share hoaxes of celebrities deaths too, rather than actually look and see if itās real, And or sharing satire news sites, and believe the article is for real and freaking out š¬š¬š¬š¬

We should be disciplined enough not to fall for it and open our wallets all the time. Yeah, itās scary. And disappointing. And dangerous.
